Healthy food for children is important right from the start so our partnership with parents/carers is really important to us in order that we get your child's diet just right.
Our recipes are selected and designed by the proprietor (who holds an honours degree in food science/nutrition). They are nutritionally appropriate for growth and developmental needs and reflect current recommendations from Food Standards Agency. They are trialled and tested, by the children themselves and chosen by them as tasty and enjoyable. Our children’s menus are nutritionally balanced, meticulously planned and include lots of fruit and vegetables, regular oily-fish. They are low in salt and sugar with high quality fat and we use organic produce subject to availability and pricing.
We make our own bread, low sugar cakes, biscuits and puddings. Our meals are made from scratch every day using fresh high quality ingredients, sourced locally, using traditionally farmed meat, and we are now focussing on developing recipes using sustainable fish. We grow some of our own fruit and vegetables, accept offerings from any excess from parents/allotment holders and we keep chickens which keep us in free range eggs.
Cooking healthy food for babies and children is neither difficult or expensive. We have 28 years experience in developing healthy practical recipes for babies and children. They are tried and tested by children themselves.
